About Chris Espinosa

Meet Chris Espinosa

FATHER. ADVOCATE. PUBLIC SERVANT.

Chris Espinosa is a lifelong advocate and public servant who has dedicated his career to fighting for civil rights, workers, healthcare and environmental justice. Born and raised in the community of Santa Paula, Chris learned early on the value of hard work, the importance of community, and the necessity of standing up for what is right. He has taken on polluters, corporate monopolies, and anti-worker interests – and won.

A fourth-generation Californian from Santa Paula, Chris was raised in a working-class family where service to community were a responsibility, not a slogan. His father is a Vietnam veteran, and his mother served as a local community advocate and city council member, instilling an early belief that government can and must be a force for justice when it is accountable to the people it serves.

Chris has spent nearly two decades fighting to make our government work for the people it’s supposed to serve, turning grassroots demands into law and holding corporations accountable. He has served in senior leadership roles in the U.S. House of Representatives and national advocacy organizations, earning a reputation as a tough, effective advocate on environmental justice, immigration reform, affordable healthcare access, and workers’ rights.

He doesn’t just talk about values, he’s fought for them, often against the big money interests that profit from our pain.

At every level, Chris has focused on one goal: making sure working people have a real say in the decisions that shape their lives, their communities, and our future.
